I haven’t subbed anything here in forever but I had a flash of inspiration.
it would be bleach discharge on black… but that’s been done before, what combos people rather see or should i stick with what works

well really anything with black and white stripes that are curved will remind me of zebras and therefore my zebra design lol. which was fairly unoriginal to begin with.
this is way cooler and way more original.
just encase i’m going to have to try out a bunch of DBH shirt colors and find complementary colors, but in the end maximum contrast allays works best

B&W… The color ones maybe too vivid for me, maybe soft color tones (leaning to colored greys?) would do the trick… :)

Your guts are probably right… Black and white would be ok anyways. I dunno about colored bleach discharge (would look nice, you’re right about that 2) but you might be able to obtain the bleached effect by using halftone screening or textures?…
i don’t care for the about the bleached effect, but in order to put a light color over a darker one , don’t you need to put a base color of white anyways? I just care about the contrast
you know what? I’m not going to over work this one, i’m going to sub the B&W one after work today and maybe just come up with a second color option to hedge my bets

with all over prints they dont do two coats of white (one underbase, one for the actual design). my birds aflight design only has one layer of white ink, which is kinda a bummer IMO but jimiyo said its to keep the design wearable. with all over prints having an underbase makes it uncomfortable to wear. bortweins pen tool sun also is only one coating of white.
and i believe both of our designs used discharge. its not going to be as high contrast as you want it to be if it does get printed. it will probably look like light grey on black. not as dark as blackbirds attackin (that used grey ink) but not far from it.

I’m going to hold of on subbing this till the end of the week or weekend because threadless just approved a deign after just a day and i need to focus on and promote it for just a tad, my last few have done poorly
but im glad you all like this, I need to remember how to put a DBH sub together again

saw the blue/green one on dA. love it… wouldnt wear it though. i miiiiiight wear the black/white one depending on what the end product looked like.
the black one reminds me of a zebra design i did (not saying you copied me by any stretch).
