Those are all amazing prizes and great accomplishments for the artists of Design By Humans. But for the creme de la creme, the true giants of t-shirt design, that might just be the tip of the iceberg…
The Rock Stars have arrived!
As some of you already know, DBH’s Rock Star Residuals reward artists whose designs reach high levels of fame. Sell a thousand shirts, and you’ve just won the Silver- good for $500 cash and the envy of all your friends.
We are happy to report that we already have nine Silver winners, all great tees with their own unique styles. Congratulations to:

Major props to everyone already on this list! And this list is just the beginning- once tees hit 3000 sold, artists earn the Platinum award of $500 cash. Sell 5000, and you’ll be awarded the Multi-Platinum award of $1000 cash. And then there’s the Diamond award- once you’ve sold 10,000 tees, you’re getting $2500 cash!

It’s pretty interesting to see that the majority of the Rock Star designs are muted or safe color palettes. Congrats to the winners!
BTW, Three of the 2008 DBH 10K contest’s 5 semi finalists ended floating up to become Rockstars.

I’m fortunate enough to have a few of these Rock Stars, but would like to get the others I missed out on :)

I think a few of them, like Black Hole Sun, got Rockstar status before this announcement. They just never said anything till now.

That’s no surprise. These color palettes go with mostly any outfit. If you wanted to pair a t-shirt with a colored blazer or a skirt, these kinds of colors go well.
It’s an honor to be included up there with so many other amazing artists! Congrats everyone!!

As a member of the Black Rock Collective, I’d like to thank DBH on behalf of all the artists, for the bonus funds for the Robot attack and Altitude sickness shirts.
Mostly thanks to all those people who bought one or more of our designs.

That also only came out a few months ago. It will get its reprint, just give it time.

I remember that most of these have been around from the start, so it goes without saying that it’s all first come first serve. I’ve got a feeling that that FTSK one won’t take long to hit that list either. Regardless, these guys did an amazing job.
How can these shirts be expected to hit the 2,000, 5,000, or even the 10,000 mark if they are never stocked? We seriously need them to be reprinted to help them achieve higher Rock Star status ;-)

i wanted to get two designs yesterday, both were sold out.
Congrats rockstars and i agree with oddeti that shirts who hit a new rockstar level should be reprinted blackbirds is the shirt that made me check out this site and im still trying to get it =)
Would be extremely nice to be able to know how close if at all your own designs are to RSA, especially to follow in real time. The counter feature was kinda promised a long time ago with the new site design. Still hoping to see it! It would encourage people to advertise their printed shirts more.

This. Very few of the old designs seem to be getting reprints. I’m not sure how they are judged to be ready to print again, but if it’s on page hits I should point out that most are completely sold out and not appearing except when manually searched, which obviously means new prospective buyers won’t be seeing them.
Saw the teaser in the newsletter and got a bit excited lol. Good to see which shirts are the Rockstars of the bunch.
