what inspires you to be creative

i listen to music and sounds around me, or just close my eyes and think about stuff, this helps me create my work for here or just draw.
i find it interesting how many ideas people come up with and how they do it,
there was a post here about music, this was cool, everyone had different tastes and ideas about what they find helps them create amazing art.
so what inspires you? music, tv, a artist, your imagination?
heres a chance to show off, post things that have inspired you to draw, paint and create.
OR
post things that help you relax and get in a creative mood after a day at work or at study.
i think it will be nice to build up a gallery of peoples inspirations and just things they enjoy to listen or to look at : )
stay happy and stay creative : )

My ideas come to me while I drive and believe me, I drive a lot.
I also love knowing that I have the ability to create something the way I envision it and sharing it with others. I am still working on my execution to make it look like the image in my mind, but I’m pleased with what I am able to produce now

My girl is my biggest inspiration by far. I’ve never had a catalyst for my creativity like that in my life. We’re collaborating on a new design that I’m really excited about, she seriously has the best ideas in the universe. Alfred Nobel was a lightweight.

I get my inspirations from pictures… but most of it is when I stare at nothing… sometimes parents thinks I’m getting weird… but I’m just thinking, hoping to get a fresh idea…
Loud music,soft music , r n b,LOVE,Starry nights,sea shells,nature,clouds,Greenish color of the trees when the rain falls,action movies,martial art,Fast cars,complicated things,sexy things,funny things…..Etc ;)

and just about any band who’s name ends in “head” inspires me
well i listen to alternative rock, indie rock and some electronic my favorite bands are :Editors,Interpol,Dredg,Coldplay,White Lies,Röyksopp,Depeche Mode,30 Seconds To Mars,Empyr
nice :) i like some of thoughs bands too : ) nice when i want something easy to the ears ;) unlike the stuff i usualy listen to.
i envy cold play! they are musical genius! i love them !

hahaha why just ending in head?
and to be honest i think im the same, i get inspired by anything, mainly random things that come out in little doodles, then i just build on them a bit.
then i take it and make it out on photoshop or illustrator, or just leave it asside in a sketch book ;)

Usually when my mind drifts into an artsy/weird day dream. Haha. I can never concentrate, but it’s great for coming up with design ideas. And watching cartoons usually makes me feel inspired.
: ) haha i get like that when im listening to my tutors at collage, i drift off and just doodle ;)
By me inspiration or ideas come most of the time when I’m in a state of automatic concentration.
Automatic concentration is like driving. You concentrate on driving. But you don’t have to think each step over. It happens from itself without standing still by it.
At the same time your thoughts get more clear, and gets some caracteristics from day-dreaming.
When I’m working on a design. I like to put my headphones on (Um I love headphones, If I had the money I would buy each and every cool headphone that I can get :P )
Turn the music loud. mostly trance and alternative stuff. It gives me a sense of timlessness. And helps me to concentrate and focus on what I’m doing.
Escapisme is this called I think. :P

cool little post here…hehehe! I love my hip hop! To get into my creative “work” mode…I “burn one” and listen to my music…I know most of you like to listen to other stuff..electronica…rave stuff…some of it is cool, but most I just gotta be on some hardcore drug to enjoy that stuff…haha. So what hip hop do I listen to?…was listening to alot of weezy stuff when I was doing the wayne submission…“fuck tha world”…“different girls”….“kush”….Are there any other artists that submitted a design that listen to his music? Some of the other artists I enjoy music from….Dead Prez, Meth, Red, Common, Jay Dee’s production (RIP), production from DJ Premiere, production from Dan the Automator….those three are probably my favorite producers. I usually listen to my music through my headphones…got a pair of those wireless sony headphones, sound sucks don’t buy em’.

yeah me too that’s why i am nearly deaf !
haha i always listen trhough head phones to deathmetal screamo stuff haha ;) not good for my ears.
im not really into hiphop, i can listen to it if people around me are, but i dont ever choose to in my own time.

music is a must, but anything could be it.. sometimes ideas come from weird places… shrooms or even ganja cud do the trick :P
