Each shirt of the day will now be on sale for 18 dollars for the 24 hours that it is the shirt of the day.

Oh cool. Not really digging the splash of wolf, but maybe I’ll take advantage of that with the next shirt.

This new deal may greatly increase the odds of me actually getting a shirt here…
Once I get a job, that is. ;P

Does that mean a whopping $2 savings on the $20 shirts, or does it mean that the $20 shirts will become fewer and further between?

Don’t get me wrong, savings is savings, but I imagine there would be far less motivation to buy a $20 tee early if you’re only saving 10%, while there’d be a huge motivation to buy a $25 tee early and save nearly 30%. Especially if referral coupons work in conjunction with it. It’d be silly to drop a $20 tee the full $7, but I think some middle ground ($15? $16?) would make more sense. Just my 2 cents.

I’m bad at math, especially percentages, haha.

I assume they’ve worked out an appropriate discount for each price level of shirt though, they strike me as smart people.

would it be like the teefury? their sister company? are they adopting some changes? hmmmmmmmmm

Teefury’s shirts are only available for one day, not discounted for one day.

Is anyone else seeing the countdown clock on the home page in a very panoramic view? I cannot see the top nor the bottom of the digits.

designing 24 TEE SHIRTS? what about just 23 tee shirts.

What browser and OS are you using? We’ll investigate.

I have the same problem with the clock. No top or bottom. I’m using the lastest version of Internet Explorer (Vista)

Great feature! Gives buyers a sense of urgency. If only you started it when my shirt came out last week. ha!

good call DBH. now print some good shirts so I can take advantage of this!

I really like the idea, but I think that the design of the counter needs further work.

- The dimensions of the box don’t fit with the dimensions of the box underneath it. In terms of width and height, the top box is close enough to the bottom one to make create and awkward feel. Both axis should either be matched or made to be more different so that the viewer doesn’t look for similarity.

- The “On Sale” text is in the same size and color as the shirt’s name. In doing so, one would expect the text to sit in the same way (with the same bottom margin) as the shirt’s name, instead of floating awkwardly in the air. (What I think might have happened here is that the two were aligned to the top margin instead of the bottom, so that would be an easy fix.)

- The top and bottom padding of the countdown box are not consistent. (The side padding is also not even, but I figure that needs to adjust based on time of day and the numerals in the timer.)

- Lastly, I feel that the “h” “m” “s” don’t really mesh with the design of the site. For some reason, I feel that a “.” as a separator lends itself more to the tone of the site. However, if HMS are used, then maybe they should be smaller but capitalized letters. (Just thinking outloud.) Also, it would be nice to code in a 0 in the tenths place for numbers under 10 because it is awkward feeling when there is only one digit in one section.

I know this is just the first day of implementation and because of that not all the kinks have been worked out. I just thought I’d give my feedback to help get the design to a more resolved level. I really enjoy the design of the site, and would love to see the countdown timer take on that aesthetic.

Cheeto, the clock appears fully visable now, so thank you for whatever you did. (If it still matters, I use Internet Explorer 7 on a Windows XP computer).

good to hear that it’s working properly, but we’re going to move things around a bit to make it more aesthetically pleasant. Should be updated soon and glad you guys are liking the idea.

I guess the strategy is working! When I checked the popular shirts for men and women for the last 7 days, the current shirt Octo Coal is number 1! Nice!!

Yea, definitely a good call dbh. I’m sure the octo coal sales are no fluke either, I expect this to be a smart move by you guys and good news for us.

Very nicely redesigned clock now. Much prefer the smaller numbers and you even get more information with it as well. I like the idea as well…

Is this deal still continuing? ***prays***

Human_thumbnail_unknown
said 3 months ago

I’d be surprised if it isn’t.

133241
said 3 months ago

It should continue forever, IMO. Its a great idea to get people to come to the site more often to buy shirts.

84804
said 3 months ago

I am pretty sure this deal is still continuing. The reason you don’t see it today with Missmonster’s Deep Creature is because this deal is only applied to Shirts of the Day, not Shirts of the Week or Shirts of the Month.

133241
said 3 months ago

Ah, gotcha. I was wondering why it didn’t show up for the past two days.
