I dunno if its just me…i dont see the essence of Design a Difference tso tso or the Tony Hawk FOundation in some of the designs. Well…Its Quiksilver who probably picked these. COngrats again. Congrats Christian!
and yeah look at the votes the first two had garnered…its just 14 and 26 VOTES…Great…Amidst the low votes…they still won the contest. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
interesting picks. Not the style I would have expected them to pick. Bloody Fingers? I dig the 3rd place one.
sooo now are we able to modify and re-use(if there’s a such word) our designs?!?
i was sure that one of these 2 will win the competition. Both awesome submissions but got nothing, what a shame!

Same here :) but choosen one also got smth in them :) I guess we don’t know what is in quiksilver people’s heads ;)

DBH is going to pick up some of the ones that didn’t get picked up by QS as DBH branded. They will require some revisions, but who wouldnt want $500?

def not the winners I was thinking. not really diggin the style but obviously that is what Quicksilver was looking for/ congrats to the winners for being creative and thinking outside the box.
Good to hear DBH will be printing some of the other designs .. Hopefully one of these 2 will be printed….

Guess Vad_ns might have to come up with something to replace the quicksilver heart.. maybe a DBH heart perhaps?? ..ha ha
I really don`t understand wich are the criteria for the election of the winning designs. To tell you the truth, I love the Quiksilver brand, but I wouldn`t put on any of the winnig tees, the people in charge of the election should leave their comments why they where choosen. I dont detract the winning artist`s work, but I don`t see any creative requirement`s of the contest on any of the winning tees…It`s a shame. :s
i 2nd “Janouzi”, i love the brand and have ton of QS stuff, but ask me if i would wear one of the selected TEEs…NO (except #3), even in case they are given free away…kind of frustrating to come against your own guidelines LOL. Not sure Tony Hawk will be able to build a new skatepark this year.

If QS was going to choose the winners, why they put this competition on a design comunity for ppl vote on?
it’s cleary that the votes here doesn’t mean anything, with in my opinion, it’s kinda disrespectfull with DBH users…
i like the winners, specialy the second, but i would be very frustrated if my design gets 200 votes and loose for a design that gets 14 votes

I’m extremely happy about winning this! And I can see that we have a great community here, bagging out the winning designs just because they had less votes. If you had read the info about the competition, it did state that Quicksilver would pick the winners, and besides there is no point in them picking designs that already exist in their line.
The designs that were posted in the countdown thread were all awesome and I hope they get a chance to be printed.
Lets not get too angry about this please, its not a popularity contest, and yes alot of other designs had better linework, more details etc. but I cant help that they picked mine, no hating! lol
