zazzle rip

My main problem with rips like this is how these sites handle them. This stuff happens all the time and there will always be people out there trying to make a quick buck off of someone else’s work, but what really bothers me is how half-assed most of the websites deal with stolen artwork. They work incredibly slow and it always seems to take about a hundred dozen emails and comments to raise awareness to the issue.

I’ve seen similar problems with redbubble. You can only submit a complaint if (of course) you sign up for an account. And they always seem to side with the “artist” that’s selling tees on their site and bringing them money. Well that makes sense! Frustrating!

Yes I agree these sites do not manage copyright infringement well. I will make contact and do what I can.

It does look alot like it though..

the body is the same, if I can see, the guy who did this only changed the head and added a glove. I think this is really stupid, but what can we do about it..

To speak to this specific example, the problem I see is:

The “artist” can simply say, “Yes, I was influenced by that image – but you can see the figure is completely different, I used all “original” tattoo line work on it… It’s my tribute…yatta blee blarg blarg”..... You know what I mean?

In the end, I don’t see at it as an outright rip…. though it’s a mental rip ;)
It’s more like a very poorly done unimaginative knock off attempt of the original….I’m actually not sure how it got up since it’s actually Bugs Bunny as well. .. . . .

This is actually not a “rip” at all! That is an official Looneytunes image and products. Looneytunes is a partner of Zazzle and gives them content and permission to put their stuff onsite. You can see all the other branded partners here too… http://www.zazzle.com/brands. They have quite a few!

The concept is a rip regardless of whether Looney Tunes did it or anyone else.

It’s terrible that they’re attempting to make money off of your creative efforts, it’s worse that they’ve printed it on tiny dogs clothes to do so. Random- Hope the problem gets fixed :)
