Diablo III T-shirt Design Contest

Hello, my friend.
Stay awhile and listen…

Design by Humans is looking for some heroic Humans – or perhaps Demon Hunters or Monks – to design truly worthy T-shirts inspired by Blizzard's Action RPG masterpiece, Diablo III. Design By Humans and its community are a force to be reckoned with in the t-shirt design world, so we're thrilled to be partnering with Blizzard Entertainment, an absolute juggernaut in the video game design world. Combine these two forces, and we expect to see some truly extraordinary shirt designs.

This Is Your Canvas, Create An Epic Diablo III T-Shirt

This Is Your Canvas, Create An Epic Diablo III T-Shirt

By entering, you're giving yourself the chance to have your work seen by the creative minds at Blizzard Entertainment, the very people behind some of the greatest video game titles of the last 20 years. Not to mention reviewed by Design By Humans and it's global community.

Together, we're sending you on a quest: design a t-shirt using characters from Diablo III, and then pit them against each other in a massive art contest for a combined $12,500 in cash and additional prizes. Your quest is somewhat less dangerous than defeating the Prime Evils. No need to fight Mephisto – but feel free to incorporate him into your design.

In fact, you can incorporate any of fifteen character designs from the Diablo Universe listed below.

@daletheskater Hey man I’m digging all the surrounding effects you’ve got, it deff makes the shirt interesting! The character looks cool, he just seems stiff? His arms are straight down.

http://www.designbyhumans.com/vote/detail/231003 give it a look

Also since the details lead me to believe that blizzard picks the contest winners I want to make sure since I like that over having it voted by popularity since some artists might have a huge following elsewhere that the rest of us do not have at our disposal to pad the voting. Plus the six designs shown above this comment section have an advantage that is already apparent.

@bodyGates yeah without any examples it is pretty confusing. I am still waiting to hear if mine passes or gets rejected but from what I can tell the image part of the submission is so they can check the content. When I was reading through the submission guidelines I read that in this phase the full sized image is not needed, when the design wins or is bought by them then they ask for the full image.

BobyGates BobyGates Artist from Romania

Ok, thank you and sorry for the silly question:D just wanted to know if I did good or wrong :D I don’t want to get rejected :D Thanks again :D

@BobyGates – The images are set to 640 × 480 because we have found those dimensions work well for mock ups and showing the detail of the art. You are experiencing distortion because you are trying to resize the image after the fact. You need to create the file at the proportions specified and then import the image without it distorting. You do not need to show the entire art in this image so it is fine if the art bleeds off the ends in areas. The art image is for us to take a closer look to see how printable your art is.

Hey guys! I have another question… Why does the artwork have to be saved at 640 pixels wide x 480 pixels tall and not reversed, cause the image stretches and looks like this ..

montoya1983 montoya1983 Artist from Mexico

@shihamanji how many hours were put in to this piece?, just out of curiosity, awesome work, tons of dedication

Hi FreeHugsHere,

I posted earlier, but it’s already been buried with all this awesome art. The submission deadline has been pushed back to September 13th to allow artists more time to complete their designs. Since we made some additions to the character list mid-contest we felt it was best to give you all more time to get your artwork submitted. Sorry for any confusion!

FreeHugsHere FreeHugsHere Artist from Estonia

Is it right that submission ends at september 13th? Because on this site it ends on 6th, what going on?
