Q: Your design stood out as one of the boldest and brightest in the contest, was that intentional?

A: Ever since I started designing I have always used bold lines and bright colors. I always wanted to incorporate my own design style for this TDKR entry.

Q: Can you tell us how you work on a design like this, what is your process?

A: Well, I really start from a blank paper and sketch everything out for the design. Next I scan it, trace the lines on a design program, then color it transfer it to Adobe Photoshop for final touches and pooof!

Q: Your style is very unique and eye catching; did you approach this contest with the same design style as your other DBH entries?

A: I think yes, I'd like to see every entry of mine as a challenge so every time I draw a new entry I want to step it up and improve. I am trying to play with my style combined with new techniques.

Q: Which other design in the contest caught your eye?

A: There are a lot of good entries. The designs I liked the most were those I commented on, I appreciate their style and love to see what people bring; some of the work I really admire is from Aj Dimarucot, fellow Filipino artists.

Q: Why did you focus on Bane specifically?

A: I really like how the Warner Bro's team re designed his character to a smaller but more evil character. I love how they designed his facemask and all; the Russian bad guy feel and everything. I haven't seen the movie yet but I really love the new face of Bane so that is why I really focused on Bane. Batman is always there on all the batman franchise anyway. :)

Q: How did you go about promoting your design for this contest?

A: Well it's the power of Social Media, I have my friends on my Facebook, a huge following on twitter and on my clothing line's tumblr. So thank you to those people who supported me.

Q: Will you be wearing your design when you go and see the movie?

A: Of course! Why not?! I'll show it off to people who are going in to the premier night!

Q: How do you start a design, do you sketch first or just move straight into Photoshop?

A: Mostly I go to Photoshop straight away to sketch all around but for this entry, I started it on paper just to be perfect, I wanted this entry to be worked in an orderly / professional fashion.

Q: What do you plan on doing with your winnings?

A: Probably save it for future use, maybe save it to visit your office in USA soon! That would be rad right?

Q: Finally, if you got the chance to design for Warner Brothers again, which of the Batman characters would you most like to create a design for?

A: I'd like to work on Scarecrow and the new Joker maybe. I'm really into character design and if that happens, if I get a chance, it would be awesome and a dream come true.
